mommy's bird
A message in the sand from Mia.
A self-portrait on paper. She is, and will forever be, my little bird (hence the name here). She's seven. She's not the seven-going-on-seventeen type, but she is growing up lightening-fast. She's a happy kid. Often times it feels as though she is too bright for me to possibly keep up with her. She might eclipse me at any moment. I have felt this way all her life. I do my best.
And here, for scale, she is with my biggest softie yet (and quite a challenge for me), a fawn sewn out of linen and wool boucle.

new to your site, although it's the end, it was great to stumble across your art. i am intrested in learning more about the sale of your pieces and also where you purchase the fantastic striped socks for your kids.
best of luck to you.

i love the photo of the fawn with your daughter and have really enjoyed all the creatures and pinecones etc you have made for this show.
If only I could come see it all in person.

Love the fawn and the best is the portrait - it is funny how kids see things :)

Beautiful work - and I see an Eames rocker in the background - aren't they wonderful? I have a few chairs and eventually I'll hunt down a rocker. Is it an original or a new one?
