a small world
Look! My presents are finished, wrapped, and under the tree!
Well, not really, but I did get the doll house presents wrapped and a tree skirt made. The presents are Legos wrapped in magazine clippings. This is the extent of the work that I've done on the doll house, and, while I have a few other bitty things planned, it will have to be presented as a work in progress on Sunday. I'm looking forward to a year of tiny crafting.
Look at this treasure Mia can hang in her house. An itty-bitty cuckoo clock! It came all the way from France via Eireann. Isn't it great?
We've had a lot of bumps in the holiday road this week. Miles is still quite sick, and I had to take my mom to the emergency room last night (She's okay!! She has cellulitis which can happen easily to someone like her who has had surgery for breast cancer. She's a real trooper.) I'm letting some things go and simplifying others. It will all get done.
I have the auction site for the Kim family just about ready to go. We'll launch the site tomorrow and reveal the list of participating artists. The auction will begin January 3rd with an opportunity to bid for the five following days.
See you tomorrow!

Oh, so cute. And that cuckoo clock! Just...wow. The dollhouse will be such a fun project to work on together. I hope Mia has a great b-day and Miles is feeling much better soon.

Love the tree. We have been feverishly creating your soft trees at our house. We have a dolls house - currently the furniture and residents are in a packing box waiting to move. One of the things we created was a nursery - I used a tiny little jewellers zip-lock to make a bag of cotton balls - which I made by pulling little bits off a larger cotton ball and rolling them up. I used the top of a tic tac box to make a container of 'wet wipes.' I made a little mobile by trimming the ends off tooth picks and painting them then added the hanging bits. So much fun - I am sure you are going to really enjoy decorating your little house.

oh! oh! oh! your package came today, too--I was just about to email you. I'm glad the clock made it in one piece; I was a bit worried but trusted in the postal service. :)

Well wishes to your family. It's actually the teeny-tiny lights on that mini christmas tree that get me! :)

So lovely! How did you make the tree with the lights? My daughter is getting a dollhouse for Christmas from her grandparents and so I'm starting to look for ideas on how to furnish it. I hope that your Son starts to feel better. I'm sending good thoughts and I hope that your Mom is okay, too.
Take care.

that is the cutest little clock i have ever seen!

I think the dollhouse is even better as a WIP. It means that Mia and you can work on it together picking our furniture and all the accessories. After all, that could be the most fun of all for a little girl!
Have fun!

It's much more fun in a doll's world!

"I'm letting some things go and simplifying others. It will all get done."
We should all take this sage advice from someone who is obviously carrying a lot right now.
Christmas will just be what it is. Peace.

Ack! You HAD me there for a brief moment! Phew! I was almost going to start feeling guilty about how far behind I am...and then I scrolled down and realized that that is actually the EXACT OPPOSITE of what this post is about: no guilt, no worries, take care of the important things and people in our lives, and enjoy the "little things" along the way. I really needed a good reminder of this right now. Thank you.
Wishing good health for you and yours.

Oh, I want a doll house now! My girls don't seem to be into the miniature, but anything they see Mia doing...
She is going to be thrilled! What a fun mama you are. And I love that it means a year of crafting with her, too.
Hope Miles is feeling better soon.

Though I must say, I love it even more in miniature.
