soft tree pattern is here!
Here it is: Download soft_tree_pattern.pdf
Forgive my amateur rendering...I hope my instructions make sense! The pattern as printed will produce a small tree (the mid-size in one of my tree-o's), but you can reduce and enlarge it to your heart's content. If you make a tree and would like to share it, I've set up a soft trees group on flickr, please join. Have fun!

Soft trees must be catching! I just finished making 30 little ones to send out as ornaments. Kinda wish I'd had your template when I started, would have saved some trial-and-error time.

Yay! Thank you so much for posting this--I've been admiring your soft trees for awhile. I was so inspired I'm working on a little set of felt tree ornaments. They're the basic cone concept, only unfilled (so they can be collapsed and put into envelopes for mailing) and stitched up the back with cross stiches. :) I just need to decorate them and then photograph them to share on my blog.
Anyway, thank you again for sharing the pattern and instructions!! I shall enjoy making a few of these up very much!! :D

EX-cellent: let the soft tree invasion begin!
Thank you for posting the pattern. Like a few of the other commenters, I muddled out a pattern before I realized that you were generously providing one this week.
But there are still many, many more trees in me! These are fun, addictive, and so endearing!
