my college major was anthropologie
My collection of vintage cups from Japan. My kids drink out of these. They're hard to topple and easy to hold with the two-finger grip. I was noticing that Anthropologie is featuring a new version of these. Really cool designs, but I've never paid more than 69 cents for any of mine, so...
Reader lisa sp was also pointing out to me yesterday that Anthropologie is featuring soft trees on their home page. I'll have a tree pattern for you sometime over the weekend.

.69! can't beat that. (and i do think yours look better than anthropologies... as do yer trees!) xo

Love the cups - they look fab lined up together like that. It's really nice that you put them to good use too.

Those trees... I have loved their simple form from the first I saw them on your site last year. Very interesting where they show up!

I love those! I came across some for the first time while thrifting a while back and bought them. I'm now obsessed! I only have the 5 and haven't been able to find more since so I'm going to troll ebay after the holidays. Your collection is gorgeous! (My girls use them for hot chocolate and tea.)

hmmm ... i've been collecting vintage for years, and never thought twice about mugs, until now, of course. i'm sure i'll never see them again - ugh!! they look great and i like your trees better, too.

I love anthropologie for thier inspiration. I would never pay thier prices but I can sure try to duplicate what they've made. I recently made a version of the felt owl ornament.
I'm really digging that sweater throw. How cool is that??

Not only are they featuring those soft trees you make so well, one of them is in a distinct fabric that I have at my house, and have made pants for my son out of! Anthropologie is sooooo two months ago. j/k!

I just helped open a new Anthropologie and our winter theme this year is "tree farm" which we chose to interpret literally with live trees and the simple sewed ones. And we sewed and sewed hundreds of these for our store - by hand like you.
We also used some fancy stiches that the Singer machine offered to make the trees look like they had garland. Although most of them are just simple muslin trees - we started getting lazy around the 300th one :D

I'm sorry but the Anthropologie mugs have *nothing* on your collection here. I wouldn't pay more than 69 cents each for theirs. Yours, however, I'd be willing to pay $10 a piece for. How's that for topsy turvy?

well that just goes to show what a rip-off anthro can be! 69 cents wow! + your trees are better ;)

Love the new banner, the cup collection, the recent photos... I check in every day and don't want to flood your comment box, but I had to let you know how much I've been loving your posts over the past few days.

I love your cup collection.

ohhh a pattern - how exciting! I'll be here to view it!
and the cups are gorgeous. i've not seen their double thumb grip, but that certainly is handy! I seem to be coming across cups and saucers lately but have nowhere to put them.
