bonjour!
An elephant wearing a beret. I got that fab blue and yellow plaid wool from my friend mav; I love it. I don't know why I'm putting little hats on everything I make this week. I just feel a calling to accessorize, I guess. When it comes to my own personal style, I love accessories, but have strict self-imposed rules about them. I don't wear earrings and a necklace at the same time, for example, or matching hat and gloves. I also don't think I could pull off a beret nearly as well as this guy, so I don't think I'll try.

oh, i think i am the first to comment! how the heck did you make that little beret? so cute i could faint. amazing work, as usual, sis.

The little hats make these guys. You are on a roll, Stephanie!
Btw, have you seen the Nov. issue of MSL? There are a few critters in there that I swear could have come out of your studio. But w/o hats or scarves, so infinitely less cute. :)

oh so cute!
i don't wear a necklace and earrings at the same time either. i think i still subscribe to that old rule of taking off the first thing you notice in mirror. i hate to admit it, but it always seems to work!

This is the cutest thing I've seen in awhile!! :) Out of curiousity (if you don't mind my asking): what do you use for the eyes on your plushies?

This is such a darling fabric. I would love to have a beret made out of it for me. I think the beret works on the elephant. It adds a sweet unique flavor to him. Makes me want to jump on the plane to France and hit a flea market.
