yes, i do think that the afternoon light on the sofa will make it worthwhile.

wishing your kids a quick recovery and productive time for you in your studio--soon!

What a lovely picture.

Most of the things on your wip:acceptance list need to be on mine as well (with the same square footage of house I have the same decluttering and organizational needs, including figuring out where to put the legos in the living room!).

Hope your kids feel better soon.

so very well said stephanie :)

have a wonderful weekend!

acceptance ... i can use a bit of that. thank you for reminding me sweet stephanie. one day at a time ... xo, mav

acceptance is a good one Steph...

I'm a little worried about my family, I feel some ickiness coming on. Must go take an airborne right now. Take care of you and yours.

I hope everyone is feeling better...

I appreciate your thoughts on acceptance - I have a hard time with that one myself.

well said, sis.

what a great post. it all rings true. hoping your kids get better quick and you get some crafty time to yourself.

once again... our planets seems to be rotating in very similar orbits! enjoy your weekend. hope the kids are feeling better...

this is just a random comment. i read your blog every time you post and i just want to let you know what a peace-ful place your blog is for me. our blogs probably reflect us. and everything from your banner, your pictures and your writing i find peaceful. thanks.

I think we could all use a little more acceptance in our lives. It's such a difficult concept to grapple with. Difficult because letting go is hard and difficult because though there are so many things we should let go of, there are some that we should *never* let go of.

Acceptance. I haven't quite gotten there yet myself even though we deal with very similar issues as you. Good to see both your kids at SES playing today. Love the old sailor top. Enjoy your weekend and most likely see you on Monday in art class!

Sniffles here too. Thanks for the reminder that sometimes we just need to let go of what "should" be or what we want to be and accept the way things are.

I feel your pain, I have 3 kiddos who have all come home from school with colds...........
Yikes!!!!!!!!!!
I want to order some pincones, do you plan to list more items???????????
let me know,
carrie

There's a picture worth framing!

Spring has definitely sprung here and we are gratefully peeling off our woolly socks, just as you are probably digging yours out of storage again.

We live in about 1100 sq. feet with 2 small kiddos (with runny noses) and three cats. We remind ourselves that this forces us to live with what we love most. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work that way. We also live with a lot of stuff that the two small children and the cats love most. i.e. many plasic toys sprinked about and dead lizards.

Your site is an inspiration. Thanks for sharing little corners of your life with strangers like me.

visit me sometime!

We live in 800 square feet...I completely relate to trying to completely utilize a small space. Did you see the new Ready Made???
xo

I hope they get well soon.. and I am waiting for the projects..
have a nice weekend

uf..acceptance...mmmmm

Oh, I hope your little ones are feeling better soon and that you are able to feel more productive soon. But wishing you lots of cuddles on the newly found sunlight on your couch until then. Have a great weekend!

I hear you! I am constantly working on acceptance. Won't somebody post a tutorial? If it makes you feel any better, a bigger house is not the answer. A nasty property of clutter is that it expands to fill all available square footage. And then you (I mean I) have even more house begging for fix-ups that aren't getting done... acceptance now!

Sounds like your week was similar to yours. Same sick kids, same housing dilemmas. Your blog is lovely. Looking forward to seeing your new items soon.

Yes, acceptance is sometimes what I need to do some days, take deep breath and let it out slowly is what I tell myself.

Yep, I agree the legos or for us the wooden blocks must stay in the livingroom so making them work with the decor is essential for us. I found that finding the right container works wonders and if I don't like the toyish look of it I simply grab my overflowing stash of fabric and make a liner for the container and it does help it.

Great post by the way!

awww
miles looks so cute in that outfit
hehehe

Acceptance. Yes. So simple, and yet not. Such a beautiful way you chose to look at WIP.
