Pear_tee Bus_tee

A couple of thrifted tees (one with a logo that needed covering up) + vintage fabric + heat n' bond iron-on adhesive + sewing machine = new tops for M&M.

These turned out great! What lucky ducks! I must say, I absolutely ADORE the pic of you standing in the kitchen..the whole photo just looks awesome. Love the green shoes, too!

These are really fun t-shirts. Your kids must love what you do for them. BTW, will you make a friend for Hilda the hippo? She is my favorite. :)

The shirts are cute, yes. But check out those kids. The grin on Mia's face is priceless!

Oh my gosh I love 'em!!!! So cute! And what cute kiddos!!!

I have to do that to some of my son's tees!!! I keep seeing everyone doing this...maybe eventually I'll manage to do some for my little man. So many projects, so little time!!! :)

i'm with alicia - cute tees - cute cute kiddies!!

those came out great! i have grand plans of doing tops like that to go with flannel bottoms for Brynne's winter pajamas... we'll see if I actually get there!

i love those tees! i especially love the bus made out of bus fabric. such a great idea.

They are soo cute. But I'm just curious, since I don't know a ton about sewing. Will the raw edges ravel and have tons of threads coming lose?

I love them - so simple and so cool!!!!!!!

Thanks for yet another great idea...they look so nice!

Super clever!

Beautiful shirts, beautiful photos and beautiful kids.

good lord.
make one for me? ;) mav

I love these pictures. Mia looks like she'd be happy if you gave her a bottlecap. Miles is more like, "Yes. Let me think about this, then I will give you my qualified, considered opinion, ladies."

Oooh I have been pondering this type of appliques for a while, but I am an inexperienced sewer so I thought that having raw edges would degrade the quality. Now I understand though! Fusible Interfacing. These are fabulous and thanks for clueing me in!

I love the raw edges. I used to make pillows with applique like this--and I work so hard zig-zagging around the shapes, trying to catch the edges, until I finally I just wised up to the raw edge.
(and what a great way to cover up those logos that need covering so often!!)
they're fantastic!

Love it!

Oh, I just finished up some appliqued tees for the boys. I love the little pear + bus...SO cute!

those are *so* stinkin' cute. i'm def. going to do this for my lil ones. they've got some stains on some shirts that need a lil covering up.

thanks for the inspiration :)

love these! i have been doing a similar thing with a small zig-zag stitch. my girls and i love them. yours are sooooo cute!

these are fabulous! i want a pear!!! :) happy weekend

Sweet! The kids are so cute. How did these hold up in the wash? Do you air dry them? I need to try this!

Love those. Miles sure is looking like a big boy! And Mia's smile is too cute...

no way! I was literally just looking at the fall boden catalog, and thinking how cute (and easy) these types of appliques would be- it's like you read my mind... thanks for the tips!

I mean honestly......how cute can two kids and their applique T's be?????
