yellow monday
For Kerstin's week of colors. Today is yellow. Sunday we headed out to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival (or the Muddy Shoe Tulip Festival as we came to call it). It was muddy and wet, and the main attraction was puddle stomping . If you're thinking of visiting, give it another week or two, only the yellow tulips were in bloom today. Perfect, however, for yellow Monday.
I'm going to try to keep posting color-related photos all week, but you'll probably hear not much else from me. I'm getting ready for Crafty Wonderland this weekend, and I only have a handful of things made so far (eep!). Must get busy...

Oh, the photographs are absolutely stunning. I can't wait to visit the festival. I'm also looking forward to seeing you and your goodies in person at CW!

As a dutch girl I'm completely fascinated buy this phenomenon..! Wooden shoes are the best shoes in mud by the way ;-) (I always wear mine gardening)

Beautiful colors and a great use of yellow! Thanks for the reminder about the color project. I almost forgot and I was hoping I could join in!
Thanks again!

Beautiful tulips! I love the top shot with co-ordinating wellies and raincoat - they make a rainy, muddy field look great.

you were smart to bring boots! i've never seen so much mud there. we ended up going to a local tulip farm (fairly new) called Greengable Gardens yesterday, and it wasn't quite as muddy. they don't have nearly the tulips as Wooden Shoe but the private garden was amazing and we took lots of pictures to share on the blog soon.
