Easter_eggs_1

Easter eggs made by putting hole reinforcement stickers on the eggs before dying. My daughter remembered this from a past issue of Martha. She is like my living breathing Marthadex.

Me: "What are you doing Mia?"
Mia: "Making paperclip chains. You know, like from making holiday decorations from office supplies in Martha Stewart's Kids Winter 2005."
Me: "Oh."

Appearing in my kids' baskets this Sunday will be two Wee Bunnies.

Such a great pattern. So simple (I made both of these within a couple of hours), but so full of charm. Thank you Hillary!

I also had plans to make the actual Easter baskets from wool and fabric, but it wasn't turning out as I had planned, so I stopped at box. I do love the box and plan on making more as organizers for drawers and my desk.

Have a great weekend everyone! Happy Spring.

I love the box! Is there cardboard in between the fabric layers or simply fabric?

susanna, it's thick wool fused to fabric. if i make some more, maybe i will do a little tutorial.

Just a random comment/compliment.

I look at your site all the time to see what you are always making.
I love all of it!

You are very very crafty.

Your kids are adorable, too.

Glad you got some nice eggs since the ones I did looked prety bad today. They were quite pretty when I took them out of the dye last night!

The wee bunnies adorable and I love the box too! What a great idea. Be sure to get some pictures of the assembled Easter boxes for us to drool over!

all lovely - as usual. kudos to mia!! have a lovely easter weekend with your family.

Love the wee bunnies! And glad to see they are nice and fat ... I thought mine was the only plump one :)

what a great box ... and i love the first photograph of the eggs in hand. wow. it blew me away. happy spring to you too my friend. xox, mav

I love that your daughter is as passionate about craft as you are! I hope I can pass that on to my baby daughter too.
p.s. I love the bunnies and the box!

great idea for the easter boxes - i have to get on with my as-yet-to-be-determined-easter-vessels tomorrow... may refer back her for inspiration!

Those eggs are great! nice work, mia! I love the bunnies, and the box is just perfect!

happy spring!

Aw, I love that box!

you are the cleverest. and mia just cracks me up. see you tomorrow, er, um, i guess saturday.

Love the Easter eggs. I need a Mia [aka "the living Marthadex"] over at my house! The bunnies + box are too sweet.

cute crafts! happy easter!

Marthadex?! How brilliant is that to have one living with you? You've trained her well!

So cute, how cool is that box? Are those easy to make, is there a pattern, or did you just wing it? Is it hand stitched together?

oooo yes, please, a box tutorial would be great! I love it and it would be such a fun way to use up some of the smaller bits of fabric that I have. I love the bunnies. What a fun pattern. I made a quilt for the bunny I made last week and its going for a little trip in the mail tomorrow to a sweet little girl out of town. Now I have to make some for my kids!

I like the idea of having a Marthadex in your home. I need one of those.

Our easter eggs are up on my blog too, and the woven basket Son #3 MADE HIMSELF. Unbelievable.

Your wee bunnies are so cute! I especially love the polka dot fabric, it's great! And the box is just lovely, I would love to try one so I hope you can do a tutorial :)

I love your wee bunnies !
i made two of them for Eastern also, but theyare by far less cute then yours !

Oh! Your post had me laughing so hard I was crying! I always check you blog with my kids, and as soon as the eggs loaded, Ai Ana exclaimed, "Like Martha Stewart Kids!"

Marthadex, indeed!

And of course everything is absolutely delicious-- a box tutorial would be splendid.

Have a wonderful easter weekend with Lisa and your family.

Well done with your "Martha"-eggs!
Hope you will get rid of all that paint on your fingers as well :D

Your bunnies are adorable! I love the chocolate fabric and blue dots... one of my favorite combos.

Mia's the cutest. I love how she loves her Martha. I'm so glad you liked the bunny pattern. Your two are adorable!
