eastercraft
Easter eggs made by putting hole reinforcement stickers on the eggs before dying. My daughter remembered this from a past issue of Martha. She is like my living breathing Marthadex.
Me: "What are you doing Mia?"
Mia: "Making paperclip chains. You know, like from making holiday decorations from office supplies in Martha Stewart's Kids Winter 2005."
Me: "Oh."
Appearing in my kids' baskets this Sunday will be two Wee Bunnies.
Such a great pattern. So simple (I made both of these within a couple of hours), but so full of charm. Thank you Hillary!
I also had plans to make the actual Easter baskets from wool and fabric, but it wasn't turning out as I had planned, so I stopped at box. I do love the box and plan on making more as organizers for drawers and my desk.

I love the box! Is there cardboard in between the fabric layers or simply fabric?

susanna, it's thick wool fused to fabric. if i make some more, maybe i will do a little tutorial.

Just a random comment/compliment.
I look at your site all the time to see what you are always making.
I love all of it!
You are very very crafty.
Your kids are adorable, too.

Marthadex?! How brilliant is that to have one living with you? You've trained her well!

So cute, how cool is that box? Are those easy to make, is there a pattern, or did you just wing it? Is it hand stitched together?

oooo yes, please, a box tutorial would be great! I love it and it would be such a fun way to use up some of the smaller bits of fabric that I have. I love the bunnies. What a fun pattern. I made a quilt for the bunny I made last week and its going for a little trip in the mail tomorrow to a sweet little girl out of town. Now I have to make some for my kids!

I like the idea of having a Marthadex in your home. I need one of those.
Our easter eggs are up on my blog too, and the woven basket Son #3 MADE HIMSELF. Unbelievable.

Oh! Your post had me laughing so hard I was crying! I always check you blog with my kids, and as soon as the eggs loaded, Ai Ana exclaimed, "Like Martha Stewart Kids!"
Marthadex, indeed!
And of course everything is absolutely delicious-- a box tutorial would be splendid.
Have a wonderful easter weekend with Lisa and your family.
