margaret
This is Margaret. Some of you might be able to guess from her name where she is headed. She is another one of my stuffeds that was loosely based on a Japanese pattern (found in this book given to me by my sister).
I had a great time making this doll. I save every little scrap of fabric from my projects, and Margaret allowed me to put them to good use. She's a combination of new and vintage fabrics. Her scarf is from an old t-shirt of mine.
We're having a little trouble saying goodbye. Good thing something darling is coming Mia's way.
Where is Barry, you might ask? Good question.

I love her to pieces! And the last photo of her with Mia is very cute. I save all my odds and ends from projects too. Sometimes I think I should clean up and throw them out but I know I would be sorry later. hehe

she's so cute!! wonderful! I love the patchwork and the colors and she's so well stuffed. want to come over and help me fix my wonky pillows? ;)
If I was Mia I'd be hiding under my bed with her right now!

I'm in love, those little blue eyes (both sets). Every bit of Margaret is just perfect and wonderful. Emma would never let it go. Love projects that use scraps (pretty cute scraps too), I have a hard enough time throwing any fabric or trim away, so I always have renewed hoarding instincts when I see scraps put to good use.

Margaret looks great! I like the way you used a missmatch of fabrics.
Did you make Mia's skirt too?

I love her terribly proud demeanour.
She looks adorably haughty (Margaret, that is. Mia just looks adorable).

Such a sweet stylish kitty, you'd never guess it was made from scraps. I like how well everything works together in that random way. Your daughter is adorable and lucky to be getting the twirly skirt from her auntie; I just saw it btw...and it was a surprise because I just made (and blogged about) a similar one. I'm seeing two twirly girls spinning around in my mind now.

amazing. I so need to do a project to use up my scraps but I can never think of anything this good!!

Maybe Barry's already out exploring? If I remember correctly, he's the adventurous one, right?
Margaret is so adorable! I love projects that use up the leftovers and you have some of the cutest! Glad I'm not the only one that hangs on to old T-shirts and such for the material. Mr. used to look at me funny when I did that, but he's gotten used to my "harvesting", as he calls it.
